The Camera

Parallax: is a displacement or difference in the apparent position of an object viewed along two different lines of sight, and is measured by the angle or semi-angle of inclination between those two lines.

Exposure compensation: is a technique for adjusting the exposure indicated by a photographic exposure meter, in consideration of factors that may cause the indicated exposure to result in a less-than-optimal image.

Viewfinder diopter adjustment: A lens that can be attached to the viewfinder to correct for individual differences in vision.

Aperture: is a hole or an opening through which light travels.

Shutter: a device that allows light to pass for a determined period of time

Exposure: Is the amount of light allowed to fall on each area unit of a photographic medium during the process of taking a photograph.

F-Stop: the ratio of the lens's focal length to the diameter of the entrance pupil

Focal Length: The distance between the center of a lens or curved mirror and its focus.
